It’s been a scorcher this week in Calgary so the boys and I have been spending a lot of time at the splash park. A cute bathing suit, a big sun hat and coverups are always summer must-haves in my book. Here are my favourites:
These are a few of my favourite things
Sun Hat – Target, always a great place to buy an affordable beach hat!
Bikini – This Triangl bikini is called “Flamingo Fling” but if you aren’t willing to shell out the money for an original, I’m seeing knock-offs of these structured neoprene bikinis popping up everywhere now.
Nail Wraps – Jamberry Nail Wraps last up to 6 weeks on your toenails which means you’ll only have to do your toes twice this summer! With over 300 different styles, you’ll be able to mix and match until your heart’s content. They also wear 1-2 weeks on your nails and sheets are always Buy 3 Get 1 free! Contact me to order and get free shipping and an extra half sheet or ask me for a sample!
Denim overall shorts– I’m loving these this summer. They look great over a bathing suit, tee or crop top. These distressed denim shorts from Shein are adorable but they do fit small (I ordered a large). I linked another pair here that are bigger because you just can’t beat the price!
Beauty Counter Lip Gloss– This company is all the buzz right now. Their approach to skin care withOUT the harsh toxins and chemicals is the newest and safest way to care for your skin. They also have a beautiful make-up line including this sheer lip gloss in Ruby. It’s not sticky and has a hint of vanilla. I’m hooked!
Bioderma Photoderm Sunless Tanning Spray – My legs are always the last to tan so I love this sunless tanning spray to help even everything out. You’ll notice a difference in the first couple hours and it doesn’t have that gross smell like a lot of sunless tanners. Save your skin from the harmful UVs!
Orange Theory Fitness – My workout routine/obsession for almost 2 years now has been “OT” or Orange Theory. In this high intensity class, you wear a heart-rate monitor to track your progress and keep yourself in the “Orange Zone”. This zone calls for lots of energy and a higher heart-rate, resulting in more visible toning and an extra calorie burn for hours after your workout is over. Read more about it here.
Kobo e-reader– This little electronic book is a life saver, especially when travelling. I know so many of you love the feeling of a good ol’ book in your hands but I must confess that I have almost fully converted to the digital side! It’s just so handy: it’s easy to hold, perfect for a vacation, and slim enough to even slip in your purse. If you finish a book, avoid panic mode and have a new one downloaded in seconds!
