Braids and up-dos are a great way to keep your hair off your face and neck during those hot summer days! They are also useful cheats so that you can go longer without washing your hair. Here is my latest favourite: the Dutch Fishtail side braid. I’ve made a YouTube tutorial so that you can try it at home!
How to Do a Dutch Fishtail Braid
Since getting my extensions, I’m trying to go longer stints without washing my hair. If you’ve checked out my YouTube channel before, then you’ll already know that I am a huge fan of braids. They are a stylish and elegant way to wear your hair with just about any outfit.
Dutch braids look great because they stick out more on top of your head and are easy to pull-apart to give you that big braid look. Yes! PULLING YOUR BRAIDS APART is a huge secret to making your hair look thicker and adds a messier, undone look that is so popular.
Fishtail braids are my absolute favourite braid but be prepared to settle in, because they take a long time to complete. They are easier for those who get a little mixed up with braiding because instead of three pieces, you are only working with two! This messy braid look is so popular right now, watch this video to learn how to do it yourself!
Love braids? My YouTube channel has a few more for you to try, including the pull-through side braid! If you missed my extension transformation by The Extensionist, than make sure you go back and watch!!
