Instagrammable Walls in Phoenix and Mesa
I’m home from such an amazing trip to Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona! I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to explore more of one of my favourite places in the US. I packed the biggest suitcase you could imagine for my 4-day trip because I wanted to take advantage of some spring styles that I’ve been looking forward to wearing. Plus, I had to do a little shopping at Target. I was pleasantly surprised at how many beautiful public works of art that we stumbled upon while we were trying out some of the delicious local eateries in Phoenix and Mesa. There are SO many murals located in both cities and I will have more to seek out the next time I visit!
These locations are really spread out over the city but if you end up close to any of these spots, you can easily stop by for a photo! To make it easy for you, I’ve linked my outfits, mapped the walls, and suggested some great spots for you to dine! To view the locations, scroll to the bottom for the map.
These first three murals are all in the exact same block. You won’t be able to miss them when driving down E Roosevelt Street. Park your car and stroll around, there are murals EVERYWHERE in this area. I wish I’d had more time (and more outfits) to capture all of the art plastered along the walls. It’s really neat to see how Phoenix supports and showcases local artists. Stop in for a bite to eat at the shipping container courtyard called The Churchill to try some of the amazing food and drinks from 10 local small businesses. This is where you’ll also find the giant blue cactus mural!
Kelsey Montague Murals
I was so excited to actually get to experience the murals by artist Kelsey Montague! She is like Instagram royalty and has 5 new murals in the Phoenix/Mesa area. Her art is always very colourful and interactive: like holding the balloon strings or taking a swing from a cactus arm.
Your first stop in Mesa should be this iconic Visit Mesa mural. You’ll find it cozied between two tall palm trees and right in the heart of the city. There are plenty of other walls in this area so make sure to take the time to explore! Next, check out the motorbike and cactus wall at The Farm at Agritopia. Pick up a coffee and a cupcake from The Coffee Shop and take a stroll around the farmer’s market. The locally crafted wine and beer from Garage-East is a definite must-try. It’s so amazing to see all of the support that local businesses earn in Mesa!
Here is a handy mural map to help you locate these Instagrammable spots. You can click on each blue pin drop for the photo of each wall Phoenix Murals. If you’re looking for safe transportation with an expert who knows all of these locations, I highly recommend Tai from BossTransaz.com!
