My 3 beauty secrets to flawless skin: moisturize, exfoliate, and sunscreen application! Read up on which products that I personally trust and recommend, plus how to apply them properly to give you younger, glowing looking skin!

1. Moisturize
If you’re looking to achieve flawless foundation makeup, start with a good dose of nighttime moisturizer. Hyaluronic Acid (don’t be afraid of the word “acid”) draws moisture fro the deepest layers of the skin to the surface which helps improve texture, moisture, and reduce fine lines. Sounds good right? It is also safe for acne-prone skin. I use this first after removing my makeup and cleansing at night, then follow up with a moisturizer or face oil.
In the past, people have shied away from putting anything with the word “oil” on their faces for fear of clogging up pores. Get over this fear by seeing what a difference a dry oil can make on your skin!
After cleansing your face, apply a rich, hydrating face cream like e.l.f. cosmetics Holy Hydration! Layer face cream over dry oil at night for even more moisturizing recovery.
Products I recommend:
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
e.l.f. Cosmetic Holy Hydration! Face Cream
2. Exfoliate
Scrub that face!!! This is one step that most people often neglect. Dead skin cells, do nothing but clog your pores, cause breakouts, and leave your skin looking dull. Get into the habit of really exfoliating you’re skin 2-3 times a week in the morning with a very gritty, sandy-like exfoliator. You’re going to pay more money for this product, like ZO Skin Health’s Exfoliating Polish but you won’t believe the difference it makes.
Break out the old washcloth and use it to wash your face every morning with warm water and a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil. I also like to use the washcloth to remove the exfoliating polish and lip scrubs. A Clarisonic facial cleansing device can be used as a convenient way to scrub in the shower a few times per week.
Don’t forget your lips! Chapped, peeling lips are not very flattering! If you notice this, use a lip scrub like this one from Catrice Cosmetics in the morning. Apply it like lipstick, allow it to sit for 5 minutes, then scrub off with a washcloth. Your lipstick or lipgloss will look flawless afterwards.

3. Sunscreen
I mean it! Don’t screw around! I see so many women spending hundreds of dollars on good skincare and then literally ruining any progress they’ve made by not adequately protecting their skin from the sun. Nothing ages your skin like UV rays. I would highly recommend that you use at least a 50 SPF on your face in the morning, steer clear of facial moisturizers with anything less. This year, I switched to a medical-grade sunscreen to help prevent further sun spots and melasma (the darkening of your skin pigment) and am so glad that I did.
Products I recommend:
Zo Skin Health Daily Sheer Broad-Spectrum SPF 50 (use code KIKI20 for 20% off)
