Happy Thanksgiving friends! How are you celebrating this weekend? What are you most thankful for in your life? Well, I’m definitely thankful that the snow has started to melt so that we can actually experience a little bit of fall this year. Check out this cool spot in Inglewood Calgary and some cozy fall style in this weekend’s blog post.
Sno – Way
Waking up on October 2nd to a dumping of snow felt like a cruel joke. Not that 45cm of snow isn’t beautiful, but it felt way too soon to be happening in the second official week of fall. I want to enjoy the leaves changing, Halloween decor and cozy cardigans for a little while please!
Thankfully the snow is melting, although temperatures are still staying close to the freezing mark. I took advantage of some warmer weather and zipper over to an underpass in Inglewood that I’ve been wanting to check out for quite some time. Inglewood is such a cool little village in Calgary, with so many neat places to photograph. The Cinnamon Barn is a spot that I love to frequent in the area for photos but I know I’ll be coming back to this rainbow striped wall again soon!
Fall Trends
So now that I could finally wear this outfit without freezing, it’s time to tell you about it! Jean skirts and chunky sweaters are a hot trend this fall. Over-the-knee boots became oh-so popular last year and they are still hot this season too! This heart knit sweater comes in a variety of colours. My denim skirt has pretty braided detailing around the pockets and is a great find at only $34!
High-waisted denim skirt / lavender heart sweater / over-the-knee boots / clutch (similar) / sunglasses use PURSUINGPRETTY for $25 off!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends!
Love,
Kiki
