Eyeshadows for Your Eye Colour
Now you may be a little out of your comfort zone with some of the eye shadow colours that I’m proposing in this post… but hear me out! Remember when you were young makeup was FUN!? Not an everyday necessity to hide wrinkles, bags under your eyes and melasma!? I’m serious! I want to make you love makeup again. That is what discovering Seint Beauty was for me. I look forward to putting my makeup on every day. It feels easy and makes me feel beautiful! It’s fun to try something different and maybe some new eyeshadow colours are just what you need!

Colour Wheel Eyeshadow
The colour wheel is made up of 12 different colours based on hues and intensities. It visually shows the relationships between primary colours, secondary colours, and tertiary colours. It’s a pretty simple theory. To find your perfect complimentary eyeshadow colour, you look directly opposite the colour wheel from your eye colour. These colours are highly contrasting and look very bold but complimentary if put together. Which is why it makes your natural eye colour stand out! For example, blue is the opposite of orange so gold, rust and coral hues complement shades of blue. You can also apply this theory when selecting home decor and fashion!
Contrasting Colours:
Contrasting colours are the shades located directly across from your eye hue on the colour wheel. These colours really make your eye colour stand out. Think of colour in cool tones and warm tones. The best way to contrast the tone is to pair the opposite. Eyes colours and all different, maybe your brown eyes have warm tones, making them hazel? So choose a cool blue to make them pop!
Analogous Colours:
Analogous colours are the colours located directly beside your eye hue on the colour wheel. These are complementary colours as well. So really, if you see a colour that you love, try it!
Seint Eyeshadows
Seint has over 80 different eyeshadow shades! They are highly pigmented and easy to apply and blend. Choose from subtle colours or bright, bold hues! These eyeshadows are separated into four finishes: shimmer, matte, glitter and cream. If you are an eyeshadow beginner, pair one shimmer and one matte to start. I usually use 2 of each in my everyday eye makeup routine. Seint eyeshadows come in small tins that fit snuggly into the magnetic palettes. These palettes come in different sizes, can be double-layered, and hold a variety of eyeshadows and makeup. Now you can create your own compact with only the colours you love!
Don’t forget your double-ended eyeshadow brush to apply your new eyeshadows! Use the fluffy end for all-over colour and blending and the small, dense end to create smoky details. Pro tip: use your finger to apply shimmer eyeshadows for a richer pigmented finish!
For Everyone: Purple Eyeshadows
Eyeshadows for Brown Eyes
Emerald City | Atlantic | #33 | Sabrina
As If | Kin | Denim | Bayou
Colour Wheel Opposite: Green and Blue
Eyeshadow Colours: Blue, teal, emerald, cool purple and green shades.
Hey brown-eyed girl! Lucky you! Since brown is a neutral colour, ANY colour on the colour wheel can accentuate brown eyes. If we want to get more into science then blue and green is the contrasting colour to try. Since I know not everyone is into bold eyeshadow colours, but don’t forget, eyeshadow is buildable. You can add a little colour or a lot! Since any colour works with brown, you can really give anything a try!

Eyeshadows for Blue Eyes
Butterscotch | Bubba | Havana | You Complete Me
Hot Chocolate | Blondie | As You Wish | Leo
Colour Wheel Opposite: Orange and Yellow
Eyeshadow Colours: Warm brown, bronze, gold, terracotta, bronze, copper, and coral shades.
Blue is a naturally cool colour and can come in many different variations from purple to grey to teal. The easiest way to enhance your natural blue shade is to visit (you guessed it!) the opposite side of the colour wheel. Apply these warm orange and brown shades to balance the cool tones of your blue eyes.
Eyeshadows for Green Eyes
Zion | Mama | LaLa Land | Mt. Hija
Pomegranate | Cranberry | Lullaby | Soul Mate
Colour Wheel Opposite: Red and Purple
Eyeshadow Colours: Burgundy, violet, pink, and cranberry shades.
Looking at the colour wheel, you will see that red is the contrasting colour for green. Since red isn’t the most common shade of eyeshadow colours, we can choose colours of pink and purple instead. Purples with red undertones definitely make those green eyes shine!
