Capture Memories
The holidays are always my favourite time of year to get crafty and it’s also the time of year where I go a little overboard with taking photos of my kids. Whenever December hits, it always amazes me that another year has past and my boys have grown so much. When my Instax Square and Instax Share showed up in the mail this week, I couldn’t wait to try them out! I rarely develop photos anymore because it feels like too much work sometimes although it’s something that I wish I made time for. This FujiFilm camera captures and prints memories in seconds plus it has so many cool features. Being an Instagrammer, I love that photos are printed in a square shape!
Instax SQUARE
Before I tell you about my little craft, I want to tell you about this camera! I’ve never used one before and I had it up and shooting in no time at all. The best part about this camera is that you don’t have to print every photo you take. The internal memory saves your photos and lets you print them right away or at a later time. After our little impromptu Christmas photoshoot in the woods by our home, I came home and sifted through all of my shots on the digital screen. You can brighten and crop pictures plus add different filters and vignettes. When you’re ready, you just press print and out pops your photo!
Instax SHARE
The Instax SHARE is a printer that connects through wireless internet to the Instax Share app on your Smart Phone. You can print any photo from your phone or from your Instagram or Facebook accounts. You can also edit, crop, add filters and even text templates likes I did the “Merry Christmas” photo below. This is a really great gift option for someone who loves taking photos on their phones. FujiFilm refills come in packs of ten so take some funny shots and add them to your holiday cards.
DIY Holiday Garland
This was so simple to make! I played around with a few different filters before printing my photos and came up with a fun array of photos. The black and white option allows you to make one colour stand out! I chose red to make our santa hats POP! Martini and Immerse are my other favourite filters to use. I picked up some red rope and these sets of Christmas clothes pins from the Dollarama for just a few dollars. This garland can be hung in from your fireplace mantel, on the fridge, on the wall, anywhere! I’ll be making one for every season this year.

My first picture would have to be of my amazing husband. I’ve been hit bad with the flu. We have 3 kids so he’s totally stepped up his game. I couldn’t be more thankful.
Angela!! I hope you feel better soon! And your hubby definitely deserves that first photo.
I would take a picture of my puppy! She’s my best friend and such a sweetie!
I would take pictures of my dog and all her cute little Christmas presents!
How cute is your garland? (A rhetorical question, obvs.) The first pic I’d take would be of my kiddos!
This little camera sounds SO cool!! Love this post Kiki – great job!!💕
My first picture would be of the kids doing Christmas activities like trimming the tree, baking cookies, wrapping presents. I love all the little moments that make up the spirit of Christmas, and think that garland is a wonderful way to display them!
First picture would be of my husband. I was diagnosed with depression and severe anxiety and he was amazing supporting all my ups and downs. He stood beside me every step of the way even if he didn’t understand what I was feeling.
Hands down first pic would be of my little guy!
My puppies!! And then maybe my husband second ❤️
I would take a picture of my two kids 🙂
I would be on a picture taking spree!! My 4 kids(21, 16, 13, 11) , my super sweet husband and our 2 very large dogs. The kids grow up so fast it’s so important for me to take pics of them especially during the holidays to be able to share those memories later on, hopefully with thier own families.
My family!!
My first picture would be of my beautiful little family. It’s been way too long since we have taken a proper family portrait and we need an update badly 🙂
This would be so fun to use at all the holiday dinners and parties this season! So fun and great giveaway ❤️
I’d take a picture of the tree we choose at the Christmas Tree Farm!
I would love to take pictures of our little babe that will be here in a couple of months!
I would take a photo of the winter wonderland we have outside! Though it can be cold and yucky, I’d love to remember the beauty of the winter we get here in Alberta too.
I would take a picture of my sweet baby boy!
I would take a picture of my sweet little boys! They are just so excited this time of the year so I love to capture their smiles!
My first picture would be of my 3 month old son! He’s the absolute sweetest and I can’t get enough of him. Times goes by way too fast and I would love this camera to help capture all the memories we are creating ❤️
I would take a picture of my baby girls:) I love that you don’t have to print every picture you take because it takes about 100 shots to try and get a picture of my toddler at the moment! Thanks for the thorough review!
A cat. I need more cat pictures. Definately a cat.
The first picture I would take are of my adorable two little boys. I would capture the candid shots of how my 3 year old adores his little 3 month old brother. 😊❤
I would take pics of my kids to send to their grandparents. Even though we visit over the holidays we don’t live in the same town, so updated photos are always welcome.
I would most likely take a photo of my 2 little dogs…
My first pic would be of my kids in their Christmas pjs!
My first pic would be of my kiddos
My dog. He’s a sweetie and always looks good in pictures.
I would take a picture of my happy family!
