I haven’t lived in Ontario for over ten years now but London is my hometown. Now that I come back every year with my kids, I’m experiencing it a little differently. So much has developed and changed since I was a kid and there are so many fun family things to check out. Here are our memories from our awesome day at East Park, from go-karting, water slides, mini-golf and so much more!
Fun for Everyone
Since my boys have the shortest attention span ever, I love family fun parks that offer an array of different things to try. I swear, I have just as much fun as they do. When I mentioned to my boys that there was a water park near Grandma and Grandpa’s house, I didn’t hear the end of it. We don’t have any places like this near Calgary and since traveling to Hawaii this year, they’ve been waterslide obsessed.
There are a variety of different options for your visit. The waterpark opens at noon, so we arrived at 11 and did the mini-golf and go-karts first. You can choose individual activities or go for the whole shebang. The Summer Extreme Day Pass offers:
- Waterpark (includes splashpad)
- Jungle gym (kids 12 and under)
- Mini golf (day use)
- Go-Karts (2 rides, approx. 5 min each)
- Large bucket of balls for the Driving Range
- 1 rock climb
- 3 bumper car rides
- 1 token for the batting cages
Water Park
There are different levels of waterslides, including mats, single tubes, double tubes and body slides. Harper was able to do everything except the body slides, which is okay with me because I was too scared to go down “The Bullet.” Funnily enough, I loved this slide as a teen when it was at a different location in London, called Wally World. When it closed down years ago, much of the water park was relocated to East Park. Cooper was still too small for the slides but could experience the double splash pad. I love the fact that I can share the same experiences with my kids.
Indoor Activities
If you need a break from the heat then you can head inside to enjoy some indoor activities. Harper loved the rock climbing and the instructors were great with them. There are bumper cars, arcade games and a huge play structure that’s perfect for kids of any ages. If anyone gets hungry, you can order fries, burgers, pizza, ice cream, etc. in the same building. Everything you need is there! East Park London is a great way to spend a summer day making memories with your family.
