Home sweet haunted home! It’s not too late to decorate. Halloween fireplace decoration inspiration is here! I went a little crazy and decorated both of my fireplaces this year, one in the basement and one in the family room. See what’s trending and where to shop for affordable Halloween decor.
Halloween Fireplace Decor Inspiration
Although a lot of these items are only available in-store and might be sold out at this time, I hope this post still inspires you! There is still lots of time left to decorate and it can even be a great time to score some Halloween decorations on sale! The Dollarama has a huge selection of decorations and costumes this year. Michaels is always one of my favourite places to shop for seasonal and holiday decorations although things went really quickly this year and their section was quite small, even at the end of September. I guess it’s a good idea to start shopping early as I already see Christmas decorations hitting the shelves.
Affordable Halloween Decorations
Plastic 3D bats have really become a decor hit and are an affordable and reusable option. You can put them anywhere! On windows, mirrors, flying out of the fireplace or even your range hood fan! Cobwebs are a really affordable way to add decoration to mirrors or frames in your home as a bag costs around a dollar. The kids love the creepy effect that it gave to our mantle mirror in the basement. Hanging witch hats have also become a popular decor item. thread fishing sire through the top of the hat and secure it to your ceiling. I love seeing them over a dining room table, fireplace, or front porch.

Halloween Mantle Ideas
I love filling my mantles with lots of coordinating smaller objects. Like small pumpkins in different shapes and designs. The small milk jars are an accessory that can be used for any season. Try flowers in the spring and summer and foraged grasses in the fall and winter. I alternated pumpkins and grasses to add height and depth to our living room mantle.
