How to Throw a Minnidip Pool Party!

You may have seen this Banana Leaf pool floating around Facebook at the beginning of the year.  Emily Vaca’s Minnidip creation went viral when Target started selling them online and in-store.  A friend tagged me in the post and of course I wanted one immediately!

Emily is yet another boss babe who is just killing it!  She took a unique idea and created La Vaca, with her first retail line: Minnidip.  Fun, colourful inflatable pools, coolers and beach accessories.  Because of its success, Emily was able to leave her full-time advertising job to become a full-time entrepreneur.  Judging by how popular her creations have become, I think she made the right choice!  I’m so honoured to have partnered with her to create this post.  I knew you would love it too!

Pool Party in a Box

Want to customize your own pool party?  Order the Pool Party in a Box from the La Vaca website!  For a steal at only $100, you can choose to mix and match your favourite colours and confetti.

Each box contains:

• Minnidip pool
• Confetti beach ball
• Confetti ring float
• Minni-cooler or balloon garland
• Beach towel or air pump
• Pool party invites or can coolies

The signature pool comes in 7 different designs, so you’ll be sure to find one that fits your style.  You can also shop each item individually or add extras onto your pool party box.  It took me about an hour to set up the pool and floaties with an air pump and another hour to create the balloon arch.  The results could not have been cuter!  I couldn’t stop taking photos, it was the perfect summer set-up!

The balloon garland is one of my favourite parts of this set.  It really adds that element of decor.  If you’ve never put together a balloon garland before, don’t fret, it’s actually really easy!  Your package includes everything you need, plus step-by-step instructions. I added a few pink balloons that I had at home too.  If you go with the Just add Water(melon) or Squeeze the Day (lemon) Signature Pool, make sure to pick up the Fruit Slice Balloon Garland.

Shopping from Canada

If you live in Canada, buying the Minnidip is a little more tricky.  The pools are available in different patterns online from Chapters Indigo.  They sell out pretty quickly but the stock does get updated regularly.  A plus is that you don’t have to pay for shipping or duty charges when ordering here.  The Tufted Luxe pools can also be found at boutique Mini Mono.  Prices are in Canadian dollars but you will pay extra for shipping.

You can always shop some of the Minnidip Collection from Target.   If you want more selection, mix and match any items from the La Vaca website or order your exclusive pool party in a box.  Remember when ordering online from the US, you will pay a lot for shipping and imports to Canada.
