Never did I ever think that wearing rain boots would be so trendy or so cool. Great for spring, winter and fall… and maybe even summer, since it did snow here in Calgary this past August. I call buying these boots an investment. It’s not often you get that much seasonal milage out of a single pair of boots.
With the Canadian dollar being so low, I’m finding the need to dig around online a little bit more to find good deals. Since so many good deals are found on the web these days, I’ve put together a little list for you below on how to save money on your Hunter Boots.
I truly believe that if you have to pay full price for Hunter Boots they are still worth it. I shelled out the money last year for a tall matte black pair and I wore them all winter long. When it was really chilly, a boot sock was a good investment to keep my toes toasty. I grabbed a couple pairs on ebay for a great price.
If you aren’t sure how they will fit, try them on in-store before buying them online. They do fit big so don’t go up a size, try and purchase your true foot size (for example, if you’re a size 8, buy a size 8). If you go with a matte finish boot, buy the boot buffer spray so that you can easily clean the white residue that develops on the rubber over time.
If you’re like me and you LOVE a deal, here are some ways to save yourself a few pennies:
*If you have smaller feet (Women’s size 7 or smaller) then buy a kid’s pair! They are almost half the price and I personally like the height better. The one’s in the above photo are from Soft Moc, on sale for $69.99. Sign-up for their online newsletter and get an extra 10% off your purchase. So these pretty reds cost me a grand total of $60. Find all the deals here: SoftMoc Hunter Boots
*Try Winners! I’ve been seeing a lot of Hunter Boots popping up in my favourite store lately. Have a good look in the aisles and maybe you’ll find a pair for $100 or less!
*Get them on sale! Even Hunter knows how to have mark downs. Check them out here: Hunter Boots Sale
*Keep an eye on Beyond The Rack. I frequently see Hunter’s go one sale for big savings a couple times a year. It can be a bit of a waiting game as they do not give much indication of their upcoming sales but you can receive weekly emails with updates.
