Halloween is only 10 days away! As always, I’ve been working to inspire you with Halloween costumes and decorations. So many of my favourite costumes are inspired by television shows and movies. Have you been catching my posts on Instagram every day? This is my newest costume and the one that I’ll actually be wearing for Halloween this year. Check out the vintage-inspired Jessica Rabbit Halloween costume from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Jessica Rabbit Halloween Costume
I love the red sequin dress and bright purple gloves that Jessica Rabbit classically wore as a performer at the Ink and Paint Club. The narrator famously said: “Valiant was surprised to see that she wasn’t a rabbit at all… What she was, was beautiful.” She’s definitely the sexiest Disney character that was ever created! I love bringing her to life in this Jessica Rabbit Halloween costume!
If you’re looking to order the same costume, I ordered a size small and it is very tight! I would definitely recommend going up one size. It is a separate top and skirt. The top is a corset and the laces can be loosened for a more comfortable fit. I am always a small or extra small size in clothes and had to loosen the laces as far as they would go and it still almost did not do up. Don’t forget to add a red sultry lipstick and purple eyeshadow. Fake eyelashes are great for this makeup look as well. The bigger your eyes look, the more of a cartoon feel!

Gangster Costume
This year, I actually really wanted my husband to dress up as Dick Tracy but I couldn’t find an appropriate costume for him! I thought it would be fun to combine both 1980s movies Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Dick Tracy together in a couple’s costume. Instead, I chose a classic pin-striped gangster costume from Halloweencostumes.com. We also added fake cigarettes and a fake Tommy gun. I love how it turned out! My husband reluctantly dresses up for our annual Halloween party but at least he feels comfortable in this costume.
