One thing I consider myself a self-proclaimed expert in is lipstick. I’ve scouted and tried a new fun line of lipsticks that boast beautiful, rich colour and long wear. The best part? They are completely affordable! Let me introduce you to Sephora’s #Lipstories Lipstick.
It’s actually one of the questions I most often asked: what is your lipstick colour? I pride myself on trying new shades to share with my readers and today I have chosen my favourite 4 #Lipstories Lipstick colours that you need to own this season!
Your lips tell a story. Every single day! Adding a bold lipstick is like an accessory to your outfit, I try and match the colour on my lips to a hue in what I’m wearing. It draws attention to your mouth, makes your teeth look whiter, and can even hint at your personality. Don’t be shy! Sometimes wearing a bright or bold colour on your lips can take some getting used to. Give it a chance!
While checking out the newly renovated Sephora at Chinook Centre in Calgary, I stumbled upon the vibrant display of #Lipstories Lipsticks. There are 40 different shades to choose from! As an avid Instagrammer, I love how the packaging for each tube looks like an Instagram photo. Unlike many lip products that you can find at Sephora, this line is very affordable, costing only $10 CAD or $8 USD per lipstick. Don’t let the price fool you, they did not stinge on quality. All colours boast high pigmentation and long wear. I wore the bright pink colour, Twolips, yesterday and even after hours of wear, a steak dinner and a couple glasses of wine, it still looked the exact same as when I first applied!
#Lipstories comes in three different finishes: matte, metallic and satin/cream. I’m not a huge fan of metal finishes so I opted for two mattes and 2 creams. As colours tend to look different complimented with different skin tones, head to their website to see the different skin palettes.
- Twolips (bright pink) in matte
- Take a Bite (red coral) in matte
- Popsicle Lips (deep red) in cream
- Pineapple Express (purple pink) in cream
