•Save money by harvesting long grasses and pine cones and incorporating them into your decor.
•Mix real pumpkins and fake pumpkins. No one can tell the difference from afar!
•Create your own welcome sign with Cricut vinyl.
•Soak your mum flowers in water for an hour before putting them on display. Keep them in their original container if possible and don’t transplant. So much easier!

*purchase seeds from your local garden store in the spring and sow seeds directly into the ground mid-May.
*OR smash your pumpkins after you’re finished with them this fall, removed the seeds, dry them and store them to plant next spring
*pumpkin vines like to grow 8-10 feet so make sure there will be room for them to “crawl”
*water daily, avoiding the leaves
*cover fruit securely with nets to avoid deer feasting on your crop!
*fertilize weekly with an all-purpose vegetable fertilizer
*harvest pumpkins once they have turned the desired colour
