Rip and Beth Halloween Costume
There’s something about the Alberta Prairies in the fall that gives me all the romantic feels. The gloomy skies, fields of hay bales, and the Rocky Mountains looming in the background is an absolute sight. It’s what we’re known for and there’s nothing quite as unique and beautiful in Canada. I’m sure that Yellowstone would have absolutely no trouble filming here instead of Wyoming and Cheif Joseph Ranch in Montana.
This year, I really wanted to capture that setting paired with epic Rip and Beth Halloween costumes. My husband loves the show just as much as I do, so when I sweetly asked if he could grow out his beard for a week so that I could turn him into Rip, he obliged. Being avid goers to the Calgary Stampede, we already had all the western wear we needed to create these costumes. To look like Rip Wheeler, your man will need jeans, a plaid shirt, belt buckle, a black cowboy hat, cowboy boots and aviator sunglasses. The black hat and aviators are an absolute must as that is Rip’s signature look.
Find someone to love you like Rip loves Beth.
Beth Dutton Costume
If I’m going to be totally honest here, Beth Dutton doesn’t have the best sense of style on the show. I’m still waiting for my phone call from the producers to hire me as their wardrobe stylist… any day now. But any western-style clothes will work here and I love the idea of using clothes you already own to create her look. A floral maxi dress with cowboy boots would work perfectly too. I was able to fake Beth’s bangs by sweeping my hair across my forehead and pinning it loosely behind my ear. I have linked a wig below just in case you want to look more authentically like Beth.
